About this audiobook
The Weight of Honor is book #3 in Morgan Rice’s bestselling epic fantasy series Kings & Sorcerers (which begins with Rise of the Dragons)!
In The Weight of Honor, Kyra finally meets her cryptic uncle, and is shocked to discover he is not the man she expected. She embarks on a period of training which will test her stamina and her frustration, as she soon encounters the limits of her power. Unable to summon her dragon, unable to search deep within, and feeling an urgency to help in her father’s wars, Kyra doubts if she will ever become the warrior she thought she was. And when she meets a mysterious boy, more powerful than her, deep in the forest, she wonders what her future really has in store for her.
Duncan must descend the peaks of Kos with his new army and, vastly outnumbered, launch a risky invasion on the capital. If he wins, waiting behind its ancient walls, he knows, will be the old king and his nest of nobles and aristocrats, all with their own agendas, all of them as quick to betray as they are to embrace. Unifying Escalon may, indeed, be harder than freeing it.
Alec, in Ur, must tap his unique skills in the forge to aid the resistance if they have any chance of defending against the looming Pandesian invasion. He is awestruck when he encounters Dierdre, the strongest girl he has ever meet. The time she has a chance to make a stand against Pandesia, and as she bravely faces off, she who wonders if her father and his men will have her back this time.
Merk finally enters the tower of Ur, and is stunned by what he discovers. Initiated into its strange codes and rules, he meets his fellow Watchers, the toughest warriors he has ever encountered, and he finds that earning their respect will not be easy. With an invasion looming, they must all prepare the tower; yet even all its secret passageways may not keep them safe from the betrayal lurking from within.
Vesuvius leads his Troll nation across a vulnerable Escalon, devastating the land, while Theos, enraged at what becomes of his son, is on a rampage himself, and will not stop until all of Escalon is aflame.
With its strong atmosphere and complex characters, The Weight of Honor is a sweeping saga of knights and warriors, of kings and lords, of honor and valor, of magic, destiny, monsters and dragons. It is a story of love and broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is fantasy at its finest, inviting us into a world that will live with us forever, one that will appeal to all ages and genders.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’m really liking this series of books. They are good for all ages and kind of people. Some chunks of texts are little bit mature, but nothing too hard for adolescents to read or listen. I recommend it.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The story is good but it’s poorly written: very repetitive „I knew I would die here“ like every chapter
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I'll stop here reading this series. The subject of the story could be interesting if presented otherwise, but the style is primitive, sentences like produced by a simple text generator. Battles described all the time with the same text blocks and repeated as in the first two books the same pattern of ups and downs. Really a very pathetic text. It reminds me also of the worst examples of German literature favored by the Nazis, Blood, and Honor, with very tiny amounts of true human emotions. This literature at that time was part of the Nazi propaganda machinery and caused innumerable cruel deaths. So for me this was it from this author.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Though I can see peoples view on the repetitiveness of the layout and structure of each chapter, I personally find the story to keep a certain amount of action packed interest. This interest far outweighs any grammatical or structural errors. In addition the narrator has a special ability to portray the various character's emotions, which complements the story very well. I will be sad when I finish this series. It is a very good story.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Unbearably repetitive. Each chapter is the same template over and over. Stopping the series at this book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love this is the 3rd series of books I've listened to from Morgan rice, and it remind me of one of the other series but still great in its own way. The narrator is really great at reading these, makes it 100 times better.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Well, it is very sad for the fighters to have work so hard and only to be betrayed by their own people and fighters. It is even very wrong to have all their hope and faith taken away. I want to find out what becomes of this family and the faith of their people. What a faith for the little girl to have ended up the way she did.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Needs more character development. Needs more believable rules of engagement. The giant digging up was terribly depicted. Some of the meditation scenes were rough too. The fighting scenes lacked logistics. But all in all I enjoyed the setting and the adventure without eroticism. Thankful for that.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Omg at first i though the book was great then it just got annoying and corney. My god how many times can one book say "who are you?" Ugh it got so freaking annoying that i got more irritated as the series went on now im on book 4 and its just going down hill fast. I get the writer was trying to be mysterious but it fell short and just became annoying. Im trying to stick with it but im pretty over it. Ready to stop reading! Stop the stupid "who are you" writers its cringy and annoying
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Very boring first 25 or so chapters. finally getting to its potential in the last 10 chapters. It finally became more realistic and original rather than sounding like a melodramatic "i'm going to die....oh, look I'm now saved!" plotline every chapter.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5They really.......really..... laid in on thick with the whole honor concept...... a good read.... but man...... just a little toooooo thick on the honor.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wow this book was really good and interesting, but so sad at the end parts at the same time
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5imitation is the highest form of flattery, Ms. rice is a george r.r. martin knock off. amazing how she literally copied G.O.T. wow !!!! third book in and I'm rooting for the bad guys. I'm reading this book now just for the laughs. i can't take her (author) seriously.
