I really liked Marianne & Ambrose!

I loved that he was such a sweet, devoted & honourable man...

Marianne was a strong, independent woman...

There were unfortunately the usual silliness of miscommunication, her making really dumb choices which endangered them both, etc...

There were very similar scenes to the previous books.

The only real negative for me was the focus given to the paedo, including his thoughts & mindset... I genuinely have no wish whatsoever to get into a paedo's mind... so those parts did make me physically shudder with revulsion!

As for the narrator... after the 1st book, she must've enrolled on to the Mary Sarah school of narration...

The overly breathy delivery, the elongated vowels (which is NOT in any way, how British people speak), the mispronunciation of very simple & basic words, the adding of extra & extraneous vowels, such as CoUvent Garden, VauxHAaull, Markess, instead of Marquess, toUss & many more... did start to become extremely irritating after a while!
