About this audiobook
Sole survivor of a ruined civilization, Joshua Penrose finds himself trapped into the one career he wanted to avoid, space pirate. Chased by the most powerful navy in space, Penrose plays a dangerous game, until the Queen of mighty Braeden escalates the scales too high. Joshua must not only survive himself, he believes he owes a future to all the spacemen and women who threw in with him when he first took his ship.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Space opera dressed up as a pirate’s tale. Or a pirate tale disguised as space opera.
Okay without reading previous books.
Narration is big, broad and lively. Handling almost two dozen character voices is trickier than it sounds. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have been reading science fiction for many decades since I was a boy. I grew up with Heinlein, Clarke, Norton and more. It has been a long time since I have found a book, or series, that I could really enjoy. The contact series is a delightful surprise. I found it to be wholly entertaining and enjoyed every minute of it. If you are a science fiction Aficionado I highly recommend that you read this series.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The writing keeps getting worse with each book. Does not understand anything of what drives a person's actions and interactions.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Very 1950s style Mr Awesome book. Distinct lack of engaging detail. It is all macro level world building. I struggled to decide who I was rooting for.
