About this audiobook
Battle-weary after a desperate fight to save Earth from the Drasin alien onslaught, Confederation Captain Eric Weston is tasked with a perilous new mission. He and the crew of the Odysseus must hunt down those who unleashed the hellish attack on his homeworld and that of Earth’s Priminae allies.
But the situation turns dire when they catch sight of a ship belonging to the mysterious beings who orchestrate the fearsome Drasin’s depredations. This powerful Empire, it seems, has two primary aims: to conquer new worlds and settle old scores. Weston’s ultimate objective: keep humanity from becoming collateral damage as the Drasin war expands to engulf the galaxy.

Entertaining from beginning to end
Entertaining from beginning to end. Same formula with new foes. If you like the series so far, continue on and you will not be disappointed. I only wish the series came out more frequently because I read this an an afternoon and likely have to wait awhile for the next installment. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

Evan Currie knows how write military science fiction. This book is a must read for those following the Odyssey One series. The story returns to the adventures of Captain Eric as he begins the search for the culture behind the berserkers who ravaged Earth. This book explores the relation ship be the aliens trying to destroy Earth and Earth's allies. But mostly the book is a rollercoaster ride of action packed space battles, written in style that makes them followable. Unlike most books written in this genre Currie gives the reader the aliens point of view during the various battle scenes. The book can stand on its own but is better read with some idea of what came before. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5

This is a great start to a new si-fi series, although there is not much new to the plot line it was a fun read. Battling alien invaders who are somehow mysteriously similar to the human species, but not quite, defeating them in the initial engagements, my bet is humans loose in the next, and then triumph through quirks of fate and determination in the third. Well written, easy to read, not too complicated, but it seems that the author would really like to explain faster than light travel (if he only could). Recommend it to anyone who wants something to read in the genre that will occupy their time.
