About this audiobook
Renowned cardiologist Dr. Chauncey Crandall IV was a Christian who kept his faith and his profession mostly separate when he first encountered a man named Jeff Markin. Jeff had collapsed during a massive heart attack at the entrance of the emergency room, and forty-three minutes later he was dead. He had been shocked repeatedly several times with defibrillator paddles but his heartbeat had flatlined. As a nurse prepared Jeff's body for the morgue, Dr. Crandall obeyed a compelling yet mysterious urge to pray for the man even though he had already been declared dead. He asked the ER physician to shock the patient one more time. The physician reluctantly obeyed and a perfect heartbeat appeared on the monitor. Jeff Markin, now a Christian, is alive and healthy today. And Dr. Crandall, who has experienced worldwide recognition because of this miracle and others, no longer keeps his faith and profession separate. He has become a man with a thriving healing ministry through prayer as well as a world-class medical practice. Dr. Crandall cares deeply not only about his patients' physical condition, but also about their spiritual condition. He speaks nationally and internationally about his work with the suffering and the awe-inspiring ways God performs dramatic healings even in the twenty-first century.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was a fantastic audiobook of how great my Lord and Savior is and how His miracles never cease. Only the Glory of an Awesome God can perform the miracles not only physical but Spiritual. Praise the Lord Of Glory. I am thankful that Dr. Chauncey Crandall has allowed himself to be used by our Lord and Savior so these salvation’s and miracles could occur. This is a wonderful account of what Faith in Christ can accomplish in peoples lives.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is an inspiring audio book and quite encouraging for those who are "fed up" with God
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Not only does the author condemn a fertility statue and Peter Pan as being evil tools of Satan, but he goes on to describe terminally ill and handicapped people attending a "healing service" headed up by none other than Benny Hinn (I mean, really?!) as being "dirty, smelly, crippled people". The book was not at all what I expected. The author comes across to me as pathetically misguided in his "faith", and I can't take this book seriously in any way.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Powerfull testemoney about the reality of our Living God. Through personal hardship and lost battles the writer chose to keep his eyes fixed on the salvation and promises of God wich resulted in Biblacal wonders and miracals in our modern day and time. It is a great encouragement to keep our eyes fixed on the finished work, being aware that we live in a war zone for ou souls and bodys and even through hard times knowing that He is the author and finsher of our faith. He has the final Amen. Highly recommend reading it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Raising The Dead is one of those rare books that touches your very soul, it reminded me of the power of prayer, and that if its in God's will that people can be healed thru that prayer. The day God spoke to Dr. Crandall in the E.R. compelling him to pray for a man who had been pronounced dead, God told him to give the man one more chance. The miracle that occurs when Dr. Chauncey obeyed God is astounding, the man that was dead came back to life! Dr. Crandall was a Christian but he really began to question what he really believed when his son was diagnosed with Leukemia. The Dr. takes us along on his spiritual quest, allowing us to witness thru his eyes the power of prayer and the miracle of healing. The stories that he shares are so amazing and inspiring you will be blessed just by reading about them. The fact that he questions He takes the knowledge he finds and puts it to work in his medical practice, praying for the patient as well as treating them medically. It was amazing to read Dr. Crandall's story watching him accept the power of healing and allow God to work thru him . This is one of those books you wont be able to put down. A must read for anyone needing a little hope or inspiration.
