If Tobe Hooper was considered the 'creator of True Horror Film Making' of the 1970's....Bryan Smith is THE author of 'True and Disturbing Horror Unlike Any Other!!!'

When this book originally came out in 2009 I bought a copy as I always did when i saw new horror paperbacks come out. Why I did not read it when it came out......i have no idea. I guess I am glad that i waited till now to read it, because I think this had a grip on me now better than it would have had if I had read it then. The book SHOCKED me into a state of shock and disturbia that I do not think I have ever had before while reading a book. Though i just LISTENED to this book, I do own the physical copy also. The narration from Angela Rysk is SO well done that you will think you are actually listening to a multi cast of actors.

Welcome to Hopkins Bend, Tennessee. If you are new and this is your first time coming thru; whether it be on your way to somewhere else, or because you had some kind of 'weird car accident' just let me tell you.....do NOT expect to ever leave, and if you do, you will probably be 'physically changed in ways you cannot imagine!!!' Yes, the small town of Hopkins Bend is one you do not want to EVER experience. Believe me. Cannibalism, torture, sex trafficking, and rape that is well known in the town, and committed by the town locals; the Kincher Clan is something you will not forget after you read Bryan Smith's first in a 4 book series!!! Welcome to 'Depraved'.

Severe torture, cannibalism, dismemberment, rape, and disembowelings are extremely described to perfection, if that makes any sense? However Smith does so that it is NOT all that takes place in this well written book. There is actually a good story, and one that I am sure (that is IF you love horror in this vein, no PUNS intended!) you will be entranced with, and one you will want to continue. Welcome to Hopkins Bend, Tennessee! You haven't eaten yet today.....Have you?

Intense horror, graphic sex and violence...multi-layered plot that did not miss a beat. The depicted scenes, which were so many, were so well done and vivid, it was like you were standing there as an on-site observer. This is only for true horror fans, and anyone who is not should not listen to it, then give it a poor review. This is some of the most horrific writings I can remember in a while, and the narrator was so good, she really did bring it to life. Excellent horror. I couldn't stop listening to it... Finally another one for the horror buff. Thank you!
