About this audiobook
After their harrowing trials on the mysterious planet out of time, the crew of the USCS Tempest have been reunited. Though they have taken heavy losses. And yet, in some ways things are better than when they left. Despite all their sacrifices, they must return to Coalition space in pursuit of the Athru fleet. Only, what could be left after all this time…
Evelyn Diazal, once a respected commander and former captain of the ship, learns her past is even more mysterious than she could have ever imagined. A trip back to her home planet reveals long-lost connections and ignites a new conflict with former allies. The crew of the Tempest begins to learn just how much damage the Athru have done as they search for a way to save the human race.
Caspian, having taken command, is now in charge of the resistance efforts against the Athru. His plan involves joining with former allies and enemies alike, but a ghost from his past makes it clear not everything is as it seems. In order to defeat the Athru, Cas and Evie will need a bold plan and a lot of luck. But even if they succeed, what will be the ultimate cost?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was a great series I couldn't put it down
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great series. 9 books. Excellent characters. Case, Evie. Box especially. Loved it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Had me interested the whole time. Thanks to the author for playing the whole thing out. Great read!!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A space opera that manages to deliver non-stop action! Book #1 struggled but #2 was a gem and kept me going. Nice world building without feeling contrived. Good character development, after nine books; but some action packed series don't accomplish that. Actually had both a hero and a heroine. Unpredictable plot, which is nice. Be advised the the author uses other character dialog to narrate parts of the drama in order to keep the pace moving along. The only negative is that the heroine is used to make a strong sociopolitical statement. I'd love the heroine just the same without the gender agenda, which felt forced since the romantic relationships lacked depth, even though the one relationship that could have been well developed throughout the series was between the hero and heroine.
