About this audiobook

She believes men are not honorable nor are they kind-until she meets one that changes her heart forever.

Betrayed by lies told before her birth, Aishlinn is raised by a harsh and cruel stepfather. Her life is forever changed one horrifying night when she is forced to flee England for the safety of the Scottish Highlands. Rescued by a fierce band of highland warriors, Aishlinn soon learns that honorable men do exist. She finds a strength she never knew she possessed and it will be tested to the limits when she is forced to make a heart-wrenching decision…allow the English to kill those she loves, or surrender for the crime she committed.

She is everything he never knew he wanted in a woman.

As a fierce highland warrior, Duncan McEwan has survived numerous battles, bed countless women, and survived a horrific storm at sea. He has scaled mountains and even survived hand-to-claw battle with a cat-o’mountain. But none of that could have prepared him for how his life forever changed one fateful spring day when he rescued a lass from a freezing stream. He will do anything to keep her as his own and will risk everything to keep her out of the hands of the English.

Only giving 2 stars because the story line wasn't terrible. I had a very difficult time finishing this book. It was extremely repetitive, predictable, and unrealistic. The damsel in distress was laid on way too thick for my taste.

I cannot stand Ashland. I understand she grew confidence but it was painful to listen on how big headed she’s gotten. Then, when Angus came back home all Ashland would think about is Dunkan. After being such as difficult person, I hope they send her back home lol.

I can officially say that Suzane Tisdale is my new favorite author. I've read 6 of her books back to back and they have been a pleasure. Laiden's daughter is no exception. I almost cried when Angus first laid eyes oh his daughter. Duncan was a real hero and I loved him. The Earl, oh well, not much to say there. He deserved what he got. Awesome book

Mediocre story. Lead female actions do not follow reality if the time period. This is frustrating when hoping for a legitimate historical fiction/romance. She was not a sting charter, she turned from a wee girl that looked 12 to a full grown wanted woman, to a female arse in a short time. It was annoying. If there were a 2.25 star rating I would have given it that, but am hopeful that since it is the first in the series they will get better.
