- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5~*~ Audiobook Review ~*~ Waiting for the Flood is an absolutely delightful, emotionally rich story of two people recovering from heartbreak. Two years ago Marius broke Edwin's heart. Edwin's story of waiting on the flood and meeting Adam is heartwarming, wonderfully sweet, and everything it needs to be to mend his broken heart so he can recognize the potential for a future with love in it.
Marius is broken, self destructive, and lost. His reactive flight from a holiday gathering leads to an injury and spending time with a handsome stranger who not only comes to his rescue, but his calm personality is the catalyst for him to face himself and admit some difficult truths.
Beautiful performance by Will Watt made this story so much more than the well-written journey it is. Will truly has a way with language and emotional intelligence layered with his vocal range to bring you an audio experience that is everything possible with audiobooks.
