About this audiobook

A stunning Romantasy debut about an enchanted library, two handsome Fae, and one human who brings them all together.

A library with a deadly enchantment.

A Fae lord who wants in.

A human woman willing to risk it all for a taste of power.

In a land ruled by ruthless Fae, twenty-one-year-old Lore Alemeyu’s village is trapped in a forested prison. Lore knows that any escape attempt is futile—her scars are a testament to her past failures. But when her village is threatened, Lore makes a desperate deal with a Fae lord. She will leave her home to catalog/organize an enchanted library that hasn’t been touched in a thousand years. No Fae may enter the library, but there is a chance a human might be able to breach the cursed doors.

She convinces him that she will risk her life for wealth, but really she’s after the one thing the Fae covet above all: magic of her own.

As Lore navigates the hostile world outside, she’s forced to rely on two Fae males to survive. Two very different, very dangerous, very attractive Fae males. When undeniable chemistry ignites, she’s not just in danger of losing her life, but her heart to the very creatures she can never trust.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! What a unique and fantastic story! I loved the characters and the twist at the end! I kind of saw it coming, but not in the way that it happened! The writing was fantastic, and the pace of the story kept me wanting more!! I can't wait for book two!! I hope you keep the same narrator on book two because she crushed it!!! Awesome debut!!

If you're looking for a good plot twist, adventure, found family, a love triangle, and magic, this is a book for you!!!

Honestly, this was a great storyline to begin with. It had all the potential to be better, but it was lacking a bunch of details on the characters and environment. The pacing was too fast for all the information of the book. This book could've been written into 2 lovely stories. I still enjoyed it, though. I can say this book is great for readers/listeners who want to get into fantasy books.
This rating is based on my personal opinion and keeping in mind that this is the author's FIRST BOOK EVER.
Hopefully, she has time to redeem herself in the second book.

The question of the day do I read the next one for a book I didn't like except for the last chapter.....
Do I read the next book for just one character? Because I get burned so many times because a broody male character comes in (towards the end) and I'm like oooo ya him I want him.

Also, this book just broke the glass window for me. Why yall moaning so much from a kiss? Even a passionate one.

I love this book. The build up was a bit too slow but I’m here for it. I really really like Asher lol but it’s cool

Team Finn all day! Great read , Even though I felt at times it was a bit unselling on the plot and some of the characters development but it brought me back. Love this style of writing and SPOILER: your left on a cliffhanger. So I’m excited to find out what happens next.

I will always be 1000% down for any fae book that involves BIPOC characters. This one has potential. Didn't quite hit all the way but I do see potential

The world building and plot were great. There were a few chapters that were slow and drawn out. I enjoyed the banter between Lore and Asher. I can’t believe the plot twist and cliff hanger at the end.
