About this audiobook
Nancy Harmon long ago fled the heartbreak of her first marriage, the macabre deaths of her two little children, and the shocking charges against her. She changed her name, dyed her hair, and left California for the windswept peace of Cape Cod. Now remarried, she has two more beloved children, and the terrible pain has begun to heal—until the morning when she looks in the backyard for her little boy and girl and finds only one red mitten. She knows that the nightmare is beginning again...

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A suspenseful and fast-paced storytelling that hooks you easily from the beginning with a satisfying twist towards the end. Also, the narrator of this book is amazing. She had given emotions and distinct voices for each character. Such an awesome experience!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was on the edge of my seat throughout. This first book shows just how talented Mary Higgins Clark was if this was her debut!

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Not my fav... some of the grammar was bothersome. “Lighted” instead of lit... and then the grown woman talking like a baby? The story was to dark for me.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent book. I love MHC and this may be one of the best books I’ve read from her so far. Scary, definitely one to keep on the fridge like Joe in Friends did with The Shinning.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love January Lavoy as a narrator. This book was good but you can tell it’s from way back lol. Maybe 60’s or 70’s.
