About this audiobook
From million-copy bestselling author David Baddiel comes a laugh-out-loud story for readers of 8 and up that takes you on a roller-coaster ride of fame and friendship…
Nothing extraordinary has ever happened to Billy Smith. In fact, every single thing about him is ordinary, including his name. But when a documentary crew turns up at Billy’s school to film the new TV series School Daze, everything changes.
Billy shouldn’t stand out: all the other kids are much more interesting than him. But when remixes of his boring class presentation go viral, Billy finds himself accidentally an overnight star. With his friends Bo and Rinor by his side, his life turns into a whirlwind of red carpets, TV shows, albums and even the possibility of meeting Sunshine De Marto – the coolest girl on the planet. But as everyone knows, fame comes with a price…
The Boy Who Got Accidentally Famous is an epically entertaining tale, which asks the question – what if everyone suddenly knew your name…?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It’s great. It feels different to other books, it feels like it could really happen! It’s makes me feel exited to read on! It really makes me laugh to!
Billy Smith is normal, in every way, normal family, not different in anyway, but one day a reality tv program starts filming at his school called school dayz (with a z); and the crew one day films in Billy’s English class, the assignment is ‘something that once happens to me’ the rest of Billy’s classmates write about the incredible things that happens to them, but Billy’s is normal; relateaBILL , it makes it in the episode and Billy’s part trends people relate to it and billy starts trending, he is famous!!!
It’s a great read and I definitely recommend it for kids 7+
Other books like this I’d recommend are
The parent agency
Head kid

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Words can not begin to describe this book. I would highly recommend this wonderful creation. David Baddiel's book are for all ages and whether you listen to the audio book or read it. This book really shows a lesson and a point that it's always and ok to be normal. When listening to the audio book I found it hard to turn it off I personally listen to scribed in the morning and evening. Its a must read or listen. It's read out in the audio book by the author himself and different characters are read out by different people in different voices. Every chapter is a cliff hanger. Every word makes you want to listen or read more. I would recommend the parent agency, the person controller, birthday boy, the boy who could do what he liked, animalcom, head kid and many more.
