About this audiobook

If you suffer from ailments your doctors can't seem to diagnose or help-mysterious rashes, unpredictable digestive problems, debilitating headaches, mood and energy swings, constant tiredness-nerve compression is the likely cause. Sugar Crush exposes the shocking truth about how a diet high in sugar, processed carbohydrates, and wheat compresses and damages the peripheral nerves of the body.

Over the years, Dr. Richard Jacoby has treated thousands of patients with peripheral neuropathy. Now, he shares his insights as well as the story of how he connected the dots to determine how sugar is the common denominator of many chronic diseases. In Sugar Crush, he offers a unique holistic approach to understanding the exacting toll sugar and carbs take on the body. Based on his clinical work, he breaks down his highly effective methods, showing how dietary changes reducing sugar and wheat, coinciding with an increase of good fats, can dramatically help regenerate nerves and rehabilitate their normal function.

Sugar Crush includes a quiz to assess your nerve damage, practical dietary advice, and the latest thinking on ways to prevent and reverse neuropathy.

    Great book and information!
I’ve heard about all this for a long time; it’s good to refresh all that so I keep doing educated choices food wise. We need to understand that food is everything, either to maintain good health or to ruin it.

This book is filled with information and is also very engaging! At first it may seem impossible to comply with his suggestions but as he digs deeper and gives a reason for those choices motivation rises. I have known for decades that sugar is one of the main inflammatory agents of my fibromyalgia that, on the day on which I cut cold turkey sugar, meat, and coffee started to wane within a couple of days. Unfortunately sugar is found (added) almost in every packaged food. This book was a good reminder about the hidden sugars. Unfortunately dr. Jacoby promotes a paleo diet which I don’t agree with and cannot afford because of the pain he causes in me and will not want to, as is not eco sustainable. Other than his suggestion in Paleo Diet I highly respect his research done and his sharing by experience. He wishes to avoid people to lose limbs to diabetes’s as he had to perform amputation on so many people. He strongly suggests that ereditare diabetes could be contained so that you will not suffer or die from it which is an admirable goal. I did find this book very interesting.
