Omg what an amazing book. I loved the whole roller coaster ride. I fell in love with all these characters. Cried when they cried and felt my heart being ripped out right along side of them. The steamy parts where just a plus. There are some triggers in this book like drug use and alcohol use. But I can understand why. Highly recommend this book amazing book.

Where do I begin, well at first I didn't know if I was gonna like the book but when James came into the picture OH MY GOD. I couldn't stop reading, I loved everything about their relationship I know there's a crazy age gap between them, but when they were together I just couldn't see the age difference, they had the perfect chemistry, Their banter was amazing.
Aubrey I wasn't a fan between the lies and her leading on Daniel I just never understood why she kept on seeing him. This story was honestly so hot and steamy, and I was there for it ?
I loved the way the story was delivered and I saw that plot twist coming but I didn't expect all that.
Natalie I mean I loved her from the beginning she's my type of gal, unapologetic and straight forward. I kinda wish we could be I'm her head I'd like to explore her whys.
Though that thing she did I wanted to kill her for doing it, like that but I understand the anger.
Anyways, if you come to this book open minded you will love it, I promise you

I got as far as chapter 17, and decided not to finish. I just wasn’t into it. Another important note is that not enough happens in each chapter to be engaging. By chapter 17 the main character still hadn’t met the age gap interest/MMC, and was just starting to get into her different line of work. In my opinion good books, move faster than this, and don’t struggle along with mundane details. This is my first book from this author, and I saw it recommended on a YouTube review. However, it seemed pretty basic in its writing style, the MFC seemed under developed, and it was hard for me to connect with her character. I’m not sure if it would’ve helped to have a different female narrator too. The narrator didn’t do a bad job, I just found her to depict an unflattering personality. Then again it was hard to separate the writing from the story the narrator was telling, to be fair.

Overall, this was a pretty good book, riveting storyline, and definitely a book I would recommend!

There are many big plot twists and shock factors in this book. I would say the only thing from the author that needs a little bit of reworking is some of the sex scenes. They are not bad, but they definitely could be better! I feel that they would work better with a larger variety of descriptor words, and maybe work on slowing them down even more to really make the reader feel completely immersed.

Very hot and steamy, sensually sexy, and overall really good read!

This story is more erotica than romance Mixed feelings on this one, I’m leaning more towards 3.5 after the full story but somewhere between 20% and 75% I wanted to DNF this book, but I wanted to push through more than I didn’t.
If you don’t mind cheating and lean towards erotica this book will rock your world. Lucia Franco writes the steamiest ? but know how to evoke emotions in the reader.

Lucia Franco loves an age gap and there is a huge gap between James and Aubrey. Their meet-cute is completely different to other ones I've read and so is their story.

Aubrey joins a sex agency when she finds out how much her best friend makes. Aubrey only wants to give it a trial run to help make money to get her past this difficult time. That's until she meets James. James is older, more sophisticated and much more enticing than any other man she's met before. But James has a secret, one that could ruin everything.

This is the second book I've read by Lucio and I much preferred it to Balance. I didn't really enjoy Aubrey's character, she was very hard to like and any time I tried to find a redeeming quality I just couldn't. I loved the forbidden and taboo trope, especially the tension between the two characters but there was a lot of sex. To the point where I couldn't see a relationship forming on the character's actual liking of each other just their passion for each other's bodies. Both characters are flawed and James has just as many dislikable traits as Aubrey. In that way, they suit each other well.
