2.75 Frustrated Stars

I completed the book only because I love this author and she can create a world in every story.

The H - Decides that he is going to be a mega-douche to the h in order to make sure that she doesn't fall for him. He treats her like a whore through the first 80% of the story.

The H - never got over a girlfriend that left him and decides to use the h as a prop to get her back.

The h - Working as a stripper, she meets the H and gives him a lap dance in a private room. He then demands a blowjob which she gives almost immediately. Within minutes of finishing him, she is already enamored with the H.

The h is a complete doormat through 90% of the story. The H uses her in front of his body guards, friends and treats her horribly. The one time she tries to refuse giving a blowjob to a business partner of the H, he threatens to stop her father's life saving treatments... so she blows the business partner.

The H's primary body guard falls for the h and they end up having a sexual relationship. This creates a problem which is really stupid as a couple of chapters earlier, the H made her blow his business partner.

Cheating... Yes
Essentially sexual assault... Yes

Why the higher rating? AT is an excellent author and the story itself was intriguing.

I kind of hated the hero in this one. I love an asshole hero but it was just too much after a certain point and you’ll know it when you get to it. I just couldn’t get over it and couldn’t root for them. She deserved better I don’t get the attraction on her end.
