In my opinion, despite all the five-star-reviews out there concerning this book, you shouldn't expect a gripping story. The main character suffers from a psychiatric disorder and greater part of the book is rather a study of the character's state of mind. The plot itself is quite stereotypical for the stories with mentally unstable protagonist so are all the twists, which I thought unimpressive.
