About this audiobook

Corey Curtis is coasting. At thirty-three, she's in the best shape of her life and has a satisfying position at Jackson City Memorial Hospital. With a good paycheck, great friends, and occasional relationships with smart, beautiful women, she couldn't be happier. She thinks.

Dr. Thayer Reynolds, whiling away some time before the start of her Emergency Department fellowship at JCMH and intrigued by the stories she's heard, crashes the morgue to get a look at Corey-the woman her young colleagues are whispering about.

Totally spinning from her first interactions with Thayer, Corey throws herself into the post mortem exam of a construction worker who fell to his death, which isn't at all suspicious-until it is. With no support from her boss or the police, Corey investigates the death on her own. Making bad decisions with good intentions, she recklessly endangers her own life and Thayer's. Even worse-she potentially dooms any chance of a real relationship with Thayer before it even gets started.

One smoking hot, commitment phobic Mixed Martial Arts practicing pathologist teams up with a caring, respected and sexy doctor to unexpectedly solve a crime. Sounds superficial and formulaic, doesnt it?
But to my surprise, it wasn't. The MC's are more than just hot cutouts, the surrounding cast are interesting in their own right, and the events keep one wanting to know what's next.
The love story starts off looking oretty typical, but evolves into something more complex and moving.
As far as lesbian romance/mystery goes, this is a goody.
This is Book 1 in the Curtis and Reynolds series and I will definitely look out for more.
I listened to the audiobook read by Lori Prince who did a great job.

I think I’ve listened to most of the audiobooks that Lori Prince has done—I always enjoy the way she brings a story to life, and this one was no exception. I especially loved the voice she gave Thayer in this one? utterly dreamy in every way. This is my first book by this author, but I’ll def be checking out their others.
