About this audiobook

My whole life, all I wished for was a best friend and a boyfriend who treated me like a princess.

Well for me, living in a small community where everyone knows everyone. And everyone knew me as the "annoying" girl, it was hard for me to get even one of those wishes. But when new girl Lexi Turner strolled into English class and sat next to me. My wish finally came true.
For the first time, in eighteen years. Me. Ada Stephens, had a best friend.

Lexi wasn't a regular new girl who blended into the background. No, she was turning every male head in the high school, especially the Kiba boys. Ugh . . . they were so hot and knew it. But they didn't hold a flame to Saint Wood. He graduated last year and I never stopped crushing . . . how could you. He was Saint-freaking-Wood

Now I had the bestie, I was just missing the one other thing I wished for.

Only . . . I think I wished a little too hard.

But not everything is what it seems. The Kiba boys held secrets . . . ones I shouldn't have known.

So I had started listening to this series on Scribd before I had read the first trilogy in this shared world and stopped about halfway through once I realized I needed to haha. I fell for Ada right off the bat. She is so endearing, so adorable, so shy and insecure/lacks confident in herself in the beginning of this journey and as I listen to the rest of the series (combined with the Lexi’s trilogy) she has really come full circle and grown into an amazingly strong woman. I couldnt help wanting to hug her when she was so nervous and anxious to make a friend after her sister went away to college. I remember the days of not knowing anyone and wanting to fit it. Again why I instantly fell for her ❤️

I also loved seeing some new perspectives in this one, seeing how Ada and the rest of the characters saw Lexi and her harem. Not seeing the internal battles Ranger was going through and vulnerabilities Maverick had to overcome. But also got to get into some of the guys’ heads too, I appreciated those POVs. I loved how slowburn this was. It made total sense because of how Ada had to really let herself experience things and find herself in this new dynamic/find her people before things could really start happening. I will say I didnt give it 5 stars because there wasn’t a ton of new stuff in book 1, so after just finishing up the trilogy and the novellas I felt some things were repetitive for me. Again that is my only critique of book 1 of Ada’s trilogy.

I love Noah so much, I understand why things are going for him the way they are. Age is hard at that point in your life. I was so happy to see things progress in book 2 though! Huxley didnt seem ready in book 1 after how he had ghosted Ada and was so shifty with her. Saint is the one who can’t make up his mind and it grates on EVERYONE’s nerves haha. I appreciated some of the side characters more in this one, getting to know new ones, cameos from the others. Overall great job!

Narration was good from these two, I don’t know them off the top of my head but I thought they equally did a good job with all the characters and personalities. it must be hard to keep track of with so many packs and all the families haha. I will say I wished the male narrator had differentiated the main three guys a little more. Sometimes Saint sounded like Hux so it was throwing me a bit. Overall, 4-4.5 stars for the narration. Already listening to book 3 because I am super engaged in this series ❤️
