I’m just coming out of the closet as a medium. I have had experiences for as long as I can remember. But finally feel free enough to tell people and do readings. So almost everything in this book offered either confirmation or clarity on things I have been experiencing. Lots of insight and information on what I also believe and have come to know as well about the spirit realm. Definitely will recommend to some clients that just need some sort of additional grief healing and understanding.

Written by the medium who is co-executive producer to the TV show Ghost Whisperer. He used to have his own show called Beyond.
Whether you believe or don't believe in ghosts or spirits or whatever, this book is well written and in a positive light. It ends with expressing ourselves in a more positive way and how powerful thoughts can be.

Van Praagh would have done himself a favor had he followed the wise marketing mantra: "under-promise and over-deliver." A passage in one of his opening salvos suggests that this book will forever change the way readers view their lives. That's a tall task -- even with readers who are eager to embrace his assertions. I've always been at least tenuously interested in spiritualism. My late mom was a spiritualist. Over the decades, many of her predictions and apparent other-worldly encounters were chillingly authentic. I thoroughly enjoyed much of this book, but it felt a bit redundant three-quarters of the way through -- almost as if the author was trying to hit a targeted page length. Still, "Ghosts Among Us" reinforced my view that we're not alone. Van Praagh's tips for using our dreams to foster spiritual connections have spawned some intriguing nocturnal encounters!

I don't know if I would have enjoyed this book more in a print copy, or perhaps if I had read fewer nonfiction books about ghosts already, but I didn't bother to listen to all of CD1 before putting the whole set in my bag to return to the library.

This guy is a good medium . Among many others that I have read. I am giving James as many stars that are book-world possible because this Medium I feel is as real as they come! He teaches us the ordinary people how to cope with death or spirit world. He really made me feel more at ease. Thanks James for all that you do! I believe that God made you special for this reason!
