About this audiobook

A down-to-earth, hilarious collection of stories and musings on marriage, motherhood, and country life from the #1 New York Times bestselling author and star of the Food Network show The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond.

In this relatable, charming book, Ree unveils real goings-on in the Drummond house and around the ranch. In stories brimming with the lively wit and humor found in her cookbooks and her bestselling love story, The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels, Ree pulls back the curtain and shares her experiences with childbirth, wildlife, isolation, teenagers, in-laws, and a twenty-five-year marriage to a cowboy/rancher.

A celebration of family life, love, and (mostly) laughter, Frontier Follies is a keepsake to curl up with, have a good laugh, and remember all that’s wonderful (and funny) about family.

If her recipes are anything like her book, they need salt. I got twelve chapters in and thought of shooting off my left big toe just to have some excitement.
Maybe if I read the book in my own tone, instead of listening to the audio version, it would be tolerable.

I couldn't wait to read this book about the back stage adventures in this ranch house, and I wasn't disappointed! I never read Ree's blog, but have all her books and have watched the show for the longest time. She cooks truly satisfying foods for ranch hands cowboys and family. I love her zest for life, love of all and the dogs and most of all love her because we share the same birthday! She has actually wished me a happy birthday a couple years in a row. Great book.

This is a cute book that new (and current fans) of Ree Drummond would certainly enjoy. It contains short stories about her life (marriage, children) - sort of like little "vignettes". The book is a very easy read and contains a lot of laughs. She is very open and honest and does not sugar coat any of the stories. A very wonderful read.
