This book was a really good mystery, not for the squeamish. The protagonist was a disturbed ex-policeman with personal and professional regrets. If you have a problem with violence this may not be for you. Well written, very good narrative and a great denouement, a quality read.

Very disturbing psychological mystery with extreme violence. Peterson is a main character with many flaws, but is always trying to do the right thing. Many characters to keep track of in this story. The book was very well written, had a good storyline, plenty of action, and lots of suspense. A thriller that grabs the reader's attention and is hard to put down.
