- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love his humor and the narrator is perfect for the subject
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a wonderful collection of essays by Pat McManus. I’ve read all of his books multiple times, and they only get better. This narrator does an excellent job as Pat, it sounds just like I imagined reading the books! This is highly recommended.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Read aloud with my 14 yo son over a period of many weeks. Both of us laughed out loud, even though we are not hunters or even avid campers.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Read "Muldoon in Love", the first offering in Prof McManus's latest do-it-yourself out lore book. If your not fall down hysterical there's no hope. This book is filled with McManus's usual tongue in cheek rip roaring tales of outdoor life and adventure.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Light reading at its best, these stories speak to a country girl's heart. If I wasn't doing some of the hijinks in these stories myself, I was watching my brothers or friends do them, or antics just as crazy. McManus has a fine storytellers heart and talent, I can almost smell the campfire smoke as he winds out the tale before us. Some of them had me giggling uncontrollably, which is always a good thing in my book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Patrick McManus, a man who writes stories as memorable as the titles. Rubber Legs & White Tail-hairs is another fine collection of short stories by this master of humor. My cheeks are sore from holding a grin from beginning to end. Anyone who likes the great outdoors should not miss this book.
