About this audiobook

“If you knew you had to do the right thing, but that something bad may happen to you because of it, would you do it anyway?” This hard-hitting, emotional, YA story of pain and love; right and wrong; and life and death is a masterful mix of suspense, romance, the paranormal, and the though-provoking questions we all ask surrounding the difficult subject of suicide.

Hadley Jamison is shocked when she hears that her classmate, Archer Morales, has committed suicide. She didn’t know the quiet, reserved guy very well, but that doesn’t stop her from feeling there was something she could have done to help him.

Hoping to find some sense of closure, Hadley attends Archer’s funeral. There, she is approached by a man who calls himself Death and offers her a deal. If Hadley accepts, she will be sent back twenty-seven days in time to prevent Archer from killing himself. But when Hadley agrees to Death’s terms and goes back to right the past, she quickly learns her mission is harder than she ever could have known.

Time ticks away as Hadley looks for ways to not only talk to Archer but to know him on a deeper level. But just as she and Archer connect, a series of dangerous accidents starts pushing them apart. Hadley must decide whether she is ready to risk everything—including her life—to keep Archer alive.

This book made me laugh, cry, and smile. I love it when I find books that allows me to experience multiple emotions. I think an author is truly gifted when they are capable of doing that to their readers. It gave off that "feel good" feeling at the end.

I absolutely love this book, it's one of my favorites! I do prefer the Wattpad version tho, not only because of something's that happen in that version that were cut, but also the ending is so much more satisfying in the Wattpad version. I definitely recommend reading it when you have a chance!

Begun and done in the space of a day (or so), but with a message to last a lifetime.

What would YOU do if Death sat down with you for a cup of joe talking about propositions and the opportunity to save a life ended too soon? Would you ask 'where do I sign' or would you shy away? It wasn't a question for Hadley, despite not really being acquainted with the young man in question. She and Archer had crossed paths once-upon-a-time, but they ran in different social circles, and we all know how high school goes. It doesn't stop her from being any less human and feeling that what transpired was wrong. It doesn't make him any less human that he fell victim to his own weakness when all else seemed lost. Over the course of the next (or rather previous) 27 days, they'll get to know each other better than anyone else knows them...and barely scratch the surface. Will it be enough to change the path of a mind already set? You'll have to read it to see, but trust me when I say, the message is clear...the smallest act of human kindness, the most insignificant seeming of actions we take to reach out to someone today, can actually change their tomorrow.

So grab copy and get cozy in your favorite reading spot. Prepare to meet our leads, their families, and all the drama a life can offer...plus a little from the other side of that coin.
