About this audiobook
Tessa Lancaster worked for her uncle in the Japanese mafia until she was sent to prison for a murder she didn’t commit. Now, after finding God behind bars, she takes odd jobs as a bodyguard to keep her distance from the family business.
In A Dangerous Stage, the second book in Camy Tang’s Protection for Hire series, Tessa gets caught up in the web of lies surrounding a shady singing competition. Hired by one of the contestants, she works with Charles Britton—the lawyer who sent her to prison—to discover the dark figures manipulating the contest from behind the scenes.
Tessa’s abilities will be tested like never before as she’s forced to balance the safety of her client’s family and her deepening relationship with Charles. In the midst of the chaos, she holds on to her faith to keep her safe and bring down the shadowy organization.
Camy Tang
Camy Tang writes romance with a kick of wasabi. She used to be a biologist, but now she is a staff worker for her church youth group and leads a worship team for Sunday service. On her blog, she ponders frivolous things like knitting, dumb dogs (namely, hers), coffee-geek husbands, the writing journey, Asiana, and anything else that comes to mind. And on her Facebook page, the silliness is unleashed. Join her online!

Reviews for A Dangerous Stage

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Ever since she got out of prison (where she'd been locked away for a murder she didn't commit), Tessa has been trying to keep her distance from her family's dealings in the Japanese mafia. But her latest assignment in her business as a bodyguard may have syndicate ties she can't control in A Dangerous Stage by author Camy Tang. After reading and loving Regency romantic suspense by this ChristFic author, written under her pen name Camille Elliot, I decided to finally try some of her contemporary romantic suspense. Admittedly, I jumped straight to this second book in the Protection for Hire series without reading Book One.So I wasn't bothered when the story seemed to assume I was already familiar with the characters and their backgrounds. I caught on well enough in time. Now, some of the read was slow for me and didn't give me a compelling sense of danger, and I didn't reach a point where I got that attached to the characters. But I enjoyed it whenever the heroine launched into fierce action, and the unfolding complexity of the plot eventually drew me into the suspense. While the nature of the story (especially the state of the romance) hasn't given me a wish to go back and start at the beginning of the series, I wouldn't mind checking out a following book if the series continues in the future.
