I absolutely LOVED this book. (For those of us who are oneness it is a little bit trinitarian but you can still get the main idea of the story) I loved the looking from Lazarus’ point of view. It was so very interesting. I’m ready Lord! Come Lord Jesus Come!

I loved this fictional account of Lazarus. The Thoenes are master storytellers and in this book they brought to life the sights, sounds, customs and smells of Jerusalem and it surrounds at the time. I felt as though I was there with Lazarus as he walked amongst his vineyards and went about his daily life with his family and friends. Beautifully written, extensively researched and a compelling read, "When Jesus Wept" was biblical fiction at its best.
