About this audiobook

With the painful memories of Appomattox fresh in his mind, Zachary Cobb heads west to start over. His experience in battle haunts him, but also serves him well in his new career as an undercover Wells Fargo agent. Zach quickly finds himself in the Mojave Desert, hot on the trail of a multiple holdup suspect. The investigation leads toward powerful and dangerous figures who are relentless in their attempts to control the opium trade and the supply of illegal Chinese workers. Only faith, the local sheriff, and the affections of Jenny Hays can pull Zach through.
