M.O.E.: Money Over Everything
()
About this audiobook
An attractive young boy eager to lose his virginity eventually ascends into a man of many trades. Mo grows up closely watched by his Navy vet mother who is sweet yet firm in a very contradicting way. He starts spending time with his little sister, cousin, and uncle while his mom falls in love with his soon to be step dad. As Mo grows older his obedience to his mother’s rules slithers away and he discovers a romantic life of his own.
I pose this question: Is pure luck enough to overcome the obstacles of love and the ignorance of the power it has? It’s a tough question to answer because Mo tries his luck one too many times and in the end he has to learn the hard way. Then he finally adapts after facing the consequences of his actions as he matures through adolescent years.
Learn and grow with Mo as he makes high risk decisions while having the most fun a person can have in the process. Extract some wisdom from this guy that experiences things like getting away with a robbery and successfully launching a black market business. Witness the smallest influences that led to Mo starting an illegal trade. The business then comes tumbling down due to his over indulgence and his shady business partners.
Life is thrown at Mo fast when he returns home after being discharged from the Navy. He deals with the viscous realities of addiction to sex and drugs with very little guidance. He unknowingly tap dances on lines you just don't cross and becomes a guide for young people who are learning the do's and don'ts of the adult world. He learns tough lessons about very important things like the age of consent, STD's, and dealing with poverty while providing for multiple families.
What do you do when you face adversity? How do you react to controversy? How do you respond to new responsibility? These are the questions Mo must answer to rebound from the failures and setbacks he endures.
