It will keep you entertained for hours, and will satisfy all ages. Recommended for the permanent library of all fantasy readers.”--Books and Movie Reviews.

This bundle includes books 5 and 6 in Morgan Rice’s #1 Bestselling fantasy series THE SORCERER’S RING (A VOW OF GLORY and A CHARGE OF VALOR), a 17 book epic fantasy series with over 1,000 five star reviews. These two bestselling novels are both here in one convenient file.

In A VOW OF GLORY (Book #5 in the Sorcerer's Ring), Thor embarks with his Legion friends on an epic quest into the vast wilds of the Empire to try to find the ancient Destiny Sword and save the Ring. Thor’s friendships deepen, as they journey to new places, face unexpected monsters and fight side by side in unimaginable battle. They encounter exotic lands, creatures and peoples beyond which they could have ever imagined, each step of their journey fraught with increasing danger. They will have to summon all their skills if they are to survive as they follow the trail of the thieves, deeper and deeper into the Empire. Their quest will bring them all the way into the heart of the Underworld, one of the seven realms of hell, where the undead rule and fields are lined with bones. As Thor must summon his powers, more than ever, he struggles to understand the nature of who he is.

In A CHARGE OF VALOR (Book #6 in the Sorcerer's Ring), Thor continues on his quest, deeper into the Empire, to retrieve the stolen Destiny Sword and save the Ring. As he and his friends meet unexpected tragedy and lose a member of their close-knit group, Thor and his remaining friends become closer than they ever were, learning that they must face and overcome adversity together. Their journey takes them to new and exotic terrains, including the desolate Salt Fields, the Great Tunnel, and the Mountains of Fire, as they face a host of unexpected monsters at every turn.

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, THE SORCERER'S RING is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders.

A sci-fi fantasy novel that turns into a rapey romance novel, and in no way should this be listed for children

A Vow of Glory By Morgan Rice. Book # 5.
Things just keep getting worse and worse for the kingdoms of the Sorcerer’s Ring. Andronicus, Emperor of the whole world outside the Ring (at least he thinks so) has just taken over the McCloud Kingdom. Now he has set his sights on the McGill Kingdom as well.

Despite the heroic superhuman efforts of all the McGill champions, and despite the impressive defenses of the city of Silesia where Gwendolyn and her followers have gone to escape the foolishness and vindictiveness of her brother, the so-called king Gareth, the armies of Andronicus come closer and closer. They blow through King’s Court like it was nothing – which, given the chaos of Gareth’s rule, it pretty much is. The miserable Gareth manages to sneak out the back and avoid capture by Andronicus, so far at least, while everyone else is left to suffer.

Meanwhile, Thor and his close friends from the Legion continue to hunt for the Sword of Destiny which protected the Ring with its magic until it was stolen earlier. They receive help from several people, but when the boy Thor grew up with, thinking they were his brothers, catches up to them offering to ‘help,’ they are sent on a dangerous journey far out of their way. All their heroic fighting only seems to get them farther from where they want to be.

Things look pretty bleak for the McGill Kingdom by the end. We will need to wait for the next book to see whether they can pull it out this time.

A Charge of Valor Morgan Rice The Sorcerer's Ring #6:
This book had the most going for it since book three. It started out slow, and I was a bit peeved that the author continued to rotate characters, especially as each one was really intriguing at the end; it became frustrating to be left hanging to go to another character and be left hanging yet again!

Fortunately, the book read at a very good clip, and I found myself turning each page, each chapter, excited to know what happened next.

I only saw one or two grammatical errors; the author has tightened the writing up quite a bit, (although there still are a few repetitive pieces in it that made me scratch my head, like “Did I read this already?” Only to find: No, I had not; the author was just repeating.)

Finally, something monumental (good-wise) happens in this story, and suddenly it’s not all roses and wine. Not that it was before, but suddenly, there is a sense that not everything is going to end up as a re-start, with no one completely unscathed.

There were places where I found myself speed-reading, (as I have for all the other books,) but nowhere near as much as in the past.

While the ending was still left as a cliffhanger, it really had a feeling of closure more than any of the other books before it. It feels like this book is the end of act one. I haven’t decided whether I will keep reading the next “act.” (I do have several more books in this series,) or if I will read something different and then pick up the series after that.

    Four stars.
