The Sorcerer's Ring #9 A Sky of Spells Morgan Rice: In addition, while Thor, Reece, Gwendolyn, the Legion, and the Silver work to bring peace back to the Ring all their lives can be lost in a moment. Andronicus and the McClouds need to be defeated (killed actually) and the Empire needs to be held back from crossing over into the Ring while the shield is down.

There are so many bad people to be defeated it seems impossible to keep the peace but it does happen for about 6 months and then things begin to backfire. Gwendolyn feels an unease that she cannot shake off as she prepares to welcome her baby and get married to Thor. When the baby decides it is time Gwendolyn is alone and afraid and unaware of the restlessness of her kingdom.

While a good story it seems to have gone back to the root problem of no editing. There are numerous extra words and wrong words in this book. Toward the end Mates, a son of Tirus is listed as the oldest of his children when I could swear, he had been listed as the youngest several times before. I could be wrong on that though.

The Sorcerer's Ring #10: A Sea of Shields Morgan Rice: Morgan continues to impress in this 10th installment. As with each of her books in this series, we get to know each of the characters, with a change of focus from book to book. Full of action, emotion, and fantasy, this book will not disappoint. As with all of her series, I can't wait to read the next installment. Yes, there were a few typos throughout the book, but I truly feel the quality of the writing overshadows this and enables her to get her next book out as fast as possible.
