About this audiobook
Paris. 1917. Never underestimate the power of a good hat… or a sharp hatpin.
Sent by the War Office to follow the notorious Fredrick Fredricks, file clerk turned secret agent Fiona Figg is under strict orders not to get too close and not to wear any of her usual “get-ups.”
But what self-respecting British spy can resist a good disguise?
Within hours of her arrival in Paris, Fiona is up to her fake eyebrows in missing maids, jewel thieves, double agents, and high treason.
When Fiona is found dressed as a bellboy holding a bloody paperknife over the body of a dead countess, it’s not just her career that’s on the block.
Her next date might be with Madame Guillotine.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The execution of Mata Hari was beautifully written, along with other aspects of womens struggles during war times in Paris. Nicely written bringing historical references to a colourful and finding-her-feet war spy, Fiona.
Very entertaining and well read . - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fun, easy and interesting. Looking forward to the next one!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I’ve never heard a native speaking narrator who mispronounced more common words! I’m getting used to it but it’s very irritating. Sadly the heroine is as loopy as the narrator. I think I’ll probably toss it in soon and find something else.
