About this audiobook
The first time somebody tried to kill him was an accident.
The second time was deliberate.
Now Paul Mulchrone finds himself on the run with nobody to turn to except a nurse who has read one-too-many crime novels and a renegade copper with a penchant for violence. Together they must solve one of the most notorious crimes in Irish history . . .
. . . or else they’ll be history.
A Man With One of Those Faces is the first book in Caimh McDonnell's Dublin Trilogy, which melds fast-paced action with a distinctly Irish acerbic wit.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Great title but the story was just too slow to back it up. Interesting plot but shortening it could have packed more punch.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Absolutely love the Irish accent of the voice actor, but also the funny interactions between the characters. Bunny made me laugh out loud a lot! Looking forward to part 2!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great narration, very enjoyable book. Exciting storyline and plenty of humour without being ridiculous.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fast paced action and humorous. Lots of twists and turns. First time listening to a book by this author. I had some difficulty with the accents, but it was great nonetheless. I plan to listen to the next book in this series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved the sense of humour. The narrator is impressively talented.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5There were a few parts that were a bit predictable but otherwise I found this book to be thoroughly entertaining. Loved the dry humour (some of the quips even had me laughing out loud - not so great on public transport). I'll never see the slogan "I beat cancer" in the same way again ?
The narrator is also really well suited to the book and keeps you involved the whole time. One of the few narrators that I've listened to who can keep the characters' voices consistent.
Honestly, I chose this book because Everand suggested it and didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised. I'm not really one for book series but I do plan to listen to at least the next installment to see if it's as good. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Cozy mystery done right! Combines the classic mystery vibes of Agatha Christie with a wonderfully Irish humour that works wonderfully. Smart, well-paced, and hilarious, this makes for an easy comfort read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Loved this such dark humour and great characters highly recommend
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5My husband thought I'd finally lost it because I kept laughing out loud every few minutes for no apparent reason ( listening on earbuds).
