I listened to the audiobook. I didn't love the reader. Sometimes it felt like she had a mouth full of saliva. I didn't love the story either. There weren't any likeable characters. I will have to think seriously about listening to the next in this series. I see it is the same person that reads it.

Ahhh! I loved so many things about this book. First of all, I chose to read this book because it is written by the same author who wrote His Disinclined Bride which I truly enjoyed and highly recommend. Now, about A Fall From Grace! Selena is just the character you can’t help but love with! Her circumstances are not her doing but are so typical in the time period the story is taking place and in which she endure with grace.
Sir Lucius is a bachelor with NO intentions of marriage. I liked Lucius a lot. I related to him many times in the story when all he was searching for was peace. People and society across the years seem to force opinions and actions upon others all the times.
Thank goodness fate had different plans for Selena and Lucius! They both feel their attraction toward each other but know where they stand. Selena doesn’t even entertain the thought. Lucius has his heart guarded and sets the matter aside for later consideration. This attraction, though evident, was delivered in a such a natural way in the middle of other lively storyline that kept me reading through. It did not linger on the relationship between Selena and Lucius longer than needed.
The story was well written with well developed characters. When I finished the book, (in one day), I just wanted to keep reading on. I wanted to continue with the characters and to know about their live. I just simply did NOT want to let them go!
If you enjoy reading historical fiction with clean writing and happy ending, this is the book for you!
