About this audiobook
Tallulah Casey is putting all thoughts of wild-boy Cain behind her. He is literally an animal in trousers… oo-er! Not like nice-boy Charlie (who she’s totally not thinking about either).
The Tree Sisters are chasing those golden slippers of applause at performing arts college but Dr Lightowler seems hell-bent on spoiling everything for Tallulah.
And with all her mates loved-up, can Tallulah resist the call of her wild-boy?

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Recommended This is the third book in the Tullulah Casey series, with is a spin off of the Georgia Nicolson series. Tullulah is in her third term at Dother Hall, a performing arts college in England. She has her group of friends that she is excited to see and the boys from Woolfe Academy located on the other side of the woods from the girls school. The setting of this series is in Yorkshire and the reader will learn a lot about the dialect and some customs. Tullulah stays with a local family during the school year, who are the complete opposite of her own parents. She has also been trying to avoid one of the local boys in a band because he has a bad reputation with girls. Tullulah has set her sights on Charlie from Woolfe Academy. The girls gossip about boys, get themselves in trouble with their teachers and head master, have to pull off a performance and want to fall in love. There is a glossary in the back to help American readers with a lot of the slang.I am a big fan of Louise Rennison. Her writing is totally hilarious and the angst filled musings of pre-teens is strangely entertaining. I love that the publisher did not change the slang and dialect of this writing because it would have changed so much of the story and it would not have been as funny. It’s along the lines of Bridget Jones’ Diary for much younger readers. I love this book for IB school libraries because within all the comedy, readers will actually learn about colleges and terms in Great Britain. More of a global perspective in fiction for American readers. Readers (mostly girls) will see similarities and differences between school, slang and culture. It will appeal to younger readers who enjoy series books. The nicknames and dialogue are clever. This is a good book to escape into. It’s fast, funny with a play on Shakespeare in each volume. Perfect for the beach or any vacation. I recommend it to readers who are looking for something funny with a bit of romance.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I do so love this series. Rennison reigns when it comes to pure silliness. This one made me smile. I'm also enjoying the development in the relationship between Tallulah and the Dark Black Crow of Heckmondwhite.
