    When his ship is wrecked in a storm, Robinson Crusoe finds himself stranded on a desert island with no one to help him and no chance of rescue. Scared and alone, he tries to make a life for himself: building shelters, hunting food, taming animals, crafting boats and making clothes. But just as his life appears to be settled, he sees someone else's footprint on the beach and a different struggle for survival begins, this time against cannibals and pirates.

    Daniel Dafoe

    Daniel Defoe (1660-1731) was an English author, journalist, merchant and secret agent. His career in business was varied, with substantial success countered by enough debt to warrant his arrest. Political pamphleteering also landed Defoe in prison but, in a novelistic turn of events, an Earl helped free him on the condition that he become an intelligence agent. The author wrote widely on many topics, including politics, travel, and proper manners, but his novels, especially Robinson Crusoe, remain his best remembered work.

      It takes 4 mins to finish one page so I had to set the audiobook into 1.5 speed.

      It was an interesting book, and I'm glad that I listened. If it had not been a classic, however, I probably would have abandoned it.

      A perfectly delightful story. Full of adventure and completely engaging.

      I loved the amazing transformation of Robinson Crusoe throughout this book and how he was humbled and brought to a realization that life would not be here without God. I would encourage you to definitely consider reading this. It was a wonderful book!

      I enjoyed the book up until he meets Friday. From then on, his arrogance is difficult to take.
