- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The conflict and sexual tension are so bizaar between the hero and heroine that at first I wasn't sure if I should root for them or wait for a dramatic falling out, but Christina Dodd definitely delivered with this book. I wasn't always sure what was happening between the two on a personal level, but the way they stood united was very entertaining to read.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5My overall impression is that it wasn't quite as good as I expected, at least from Christina Dodd. Even though I didn't think it was her best it was still an entertaining read, I especially liked the dynamics between Genny and John. My first issue was with Genny's father. I wanted to know exactly what his story was, even if he was just a secondary character. The fact that I had a problem with that made me laugh because I've noticed I get annoyed most times when the story starts to drag but at the same time, I have this need to know everything about all of the characters. My guess is that I can't decide on anything, like normal : )Then I also wasn't a fan of the second "love interest" if that's what you want to call it. Maybe obsessive, crazy, homicidal maniac is a better description. I couldn't really tell you why this is but when I got to the "revelation" of this love, all I could think was "oh, here we go."Finally, when there is a supposed "death", I started losing interest altogether, and stopped caring about what would happen in the end of the story. I know after reading this, it wouldn't make sense to say that I still enjoyed the book, but when looking at the novel as a whole those three issues aren't that big.
