RECORD CROWDS AT TRACTOR WORLD

Despite these problems a record crowd of over 10,000 people came from all parts of the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. The show was held in a wonderful atmosphere, which also saw records broken in the H J Pugh sale, where 82 percent of all tractors were sold.

It was not an easy task for organiser Mark Woodward and the Kelsey Media team to place everything on hard standing, not helped by the new exciting exhibition hall area being unavailable. However, its 90 percent finished, looks fine and will be used in the show set up next year.

The weather was reasonably warm for this time of year and after the mist had lifted the sun appeared on occasions. The gates opened at 9am, as the crowds flocked in to see the many exhibits on
