FRICTION-FREE RUNNING
Q What is jogger’s nipple, how do you treat it and how do you prevent it in the first place? Lewis Hall
A Jogger’s nipple is the polite way to describe your nipples becoming sensitive and chafing after running. As the chafing worsens, the skin becomes more irritated and can even leave to bleeding. It’s caused by friction between nipple and garment in much the same way that you might suffer blisters on your feet.
It’s painful and will require treatment. This includes cleaning the affected area with mild soap and warm water. Avoid using any cleaning products that contain additional chemicals as that can further aggravate the painful area.
