Film: THE BURIAL

A rousing performance from Jamie Foxx makes this David v Goliath legal drama a crowdpleaser.story about a lawsuit against a large funeral home company, you’ll know how it turns out, although Maggie Betts’ lively direction leaves little doubt about the outcome. Tommy Lee Jones is more lugubrious than usual as Jerry O’Keefe, a war hero and former mayor of Biloxi who sued the Loewen Group of Canada when he came to believe that it was trying to bully him out of business. Jones plays straight man to Foxx’s flashy Willie E Gary, who is sometimes more of an evangelical preacher in the courtroom than a lawyer. PRIME VIDEO
