Kiwi Cane – 2024

I’ve mentioned the idea of running a cane rod gathering here in New Zealand in previous articles. With travel now well and truly opened back up, I’m excited to say that the plan is to run the inaugural “Kiwi Cane” (www.kiwicane.com) gathering from Friday the 19th of April to Sunday the 21st of April 2024.

Talking with David “Bamboo” Hemmings, the originator and organiser of “Cressy Cane” () in Australia, we’ve decided to run Cressy Cane and Kiwi Cane on alternate years. This will give David a well earned rest between Australian gatherings, after ten years of annual events,
