NZ Reboot

2016 seems like a long, long time ago. That’s when my Kiwi wife Miri decided that 35 years in Australia was enough, and it was time to go home. The move took more than a little longer than originally planned, but in May 2021 we finally touched down here. Home initially was a rented campervan, whilewe travelled around the North Island exploring where we might want to settle down. Taihape wasn’t originally on our radar, but within a couple of months we’d found a place on the edge of this friendly little town.

As amazing as it is to have almost countless trout fishing opportunities starting right on my doorstep, to be honest, my first season here has been speeding by without me doing a lot of fishing.
