Retreating for yourself

I’M NOT MY MOST-WELL SELF when I check into Gaia Retreat & Spa in the Byron Bay hinterland. An immune system waging a prolonged conflict with itself persists, despite my assurances we’re actually on the same side. The squeeze from full-time parenting in tandem with full-time business-running is tightening. And those interest rate rises have dolloped an unappetising quenelle on an already full plate. Although I manage an alacrity for life even when the highlights feel dim, I’m hoping this wellness retreat will offer a better way to maintain my physical and mental health while navigating minor hardships.
