Ratepayers threaten rates boycott over power tariff

push back

THE National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) cut the eThekwini Municipality’s intended tariff increase of 18.49% to its suggested 15.1% hike, but residents associations are not satisfied.

They want a further tariff reduction and are prepared to embark on a rates boycott if their demand is not met.
