OF FATHERS AND DAUGHTERS

In the April 2016 edition of SA JAGTER/HUNTER, I wrote an article titled “Hunting – Of fathers and sons” in which I told the story and journey of raising and teaching a young boy to hunt. In the last paragraph, I mentioned I had a daughter, Chane, who was also interested in hunting and, at the time, started joining her brother and me in the veld with her BB rifle. She was only three years old then but showed a keen interest in hunting and being out in the bush. This is her story.

Chane accompanied her brother and me in the hunting fields, where we would do feathered hunts on a nearby farm.
