Hassle-free harvests

My excitement rises in May with the shoots of spring. Every morning I rush to check on seedlings and opening apple blossom. Warm days can feel like summer, and nights are beginning to stay above 5°C, encouraging me to plant more outside. However, I do keep an eye on the forecast for frosts, which are still likely in Scotland and northern England.

As a sustainable grower, I reduce my ecological footprint by only using peat-free compost and no pesticides whatsoever. While I find these sustainable steps easy, reducing plastic when growing hundreds of seedlings is much harder.
