I’m probably not alone in experiencing a twinge of jealousy when I hear an ex-rider has donated or bequeathed their motorbike(s) to somebody who already has a collection – often of the same type of bike – or to a museum. It immediately brings to mind the phrase from Matthew 13 in the Bible: ‘whoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance.’
