n one of our podcasts, we did an unofficial poll of ingredients listeners weren’t keen on, and I was surprised to see dried fruits in there. I think people’s aversion to them is in baking and desserts – maybe it’s now seen as a bit old-fashioned. And, when people refer to ‘dried fruits’, I think they mean only currants, raisins and maybe mixed peel. The world of dried fruits is far more varied. We mustn’t forget about dried mango, strawberries and apricots, which of course are fantastic with lamb. I love dried fruits
