I’VE GOT A FRIEND IN YOU

I’ve been reading YOU magazine for 35 years, ever since the first issue came out when I was 32. That’s more than half my life. I’ve entered the competitions; giggled at the jokes; read my horoscope; completed the crosswords; asked Dr Louise; read your articles and cried in sympathy at the trials, tribulations and suffering of many others; written about my children; chronicled the antics of my grandchildren; and shared my heartache at losing my beloved husband.

My older grandchildren are super-impressed that I know who Justin and Hailey Bieber, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Zendaya, Harry Styles, the Jonas brothers, Cardi B and so forth are. I wouldn’t if it weren’t for YOU.

I always wait in anticipation for Mondays to buy the magazine before it sells out and read it avidly from cover to cover but, like so many others, really enjoy the letters page which the editor,
