Use rough recycled paper as mouse mat

In Issue 634 (page 40), Alan Bell mentioned his preference for softer and textured mouse mats over hard ‘gaming’ mats. For many years I’ve used a ‘disposable’ mat. Currently, this is a 200-page spiral-bound Pukka Pad of A4 recycled paper (pictured).

Recycled paper is slightly rougher and provides the little bit of drag some of us prefer. As soon as it gets a bit grubby or sticky, just rip off the top sheet and you’ll have a clean mat again. You can buy the pad online for £4 from Amazon (www.snipca.com/42340), though I picked mine up from a pound shop.
