Jury awards Depp $15M in defamation case against Heard and also awards her $2M

Johnny Depp had sued Amber Heard for $50 million over a 2018 op-ed she wrote about abuse against women. The jury also awarded Heard $2 million in damages in her countersuit.

Actor Johnny Depp has won his defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard, as jury announced its verdict in the widely watched case on Wednesday. The jury found that Depp is entitled to $10 million in compensatory damages and punitive damages of $5 million.

Depp sued Heard, his ex-wife, for $50 million, saying she defamed him by accusing him of domestic abuse.
