COSY COMFORT FOOD

No matter the season, there’s something about comfort food that’s just good for the soul. Perfect for a cosy night, a rainy afternoon, or for turning a long day around, these recipes from Around the Kitchen Table, by mum-and-daughter duo Sophie Hansen and Annie Herron, celebrate the joy and sense of satisfaction that come with preparing a meal to share. Here’s your invitation to take a pause from your busy life and cook something good that’ll turn even the grumpiest frown upside down.

RAVIOLI WITH TOMATO, BASIL AND GARLIC

Ravioli is much easier to get on the table than most pastas, because you can freeze it without worrying that the pasta will stick together, and cook it straight from frozen.

SERVES: 2-3

TOMATO SAUCE

• 500g cherry tomatoes
•3 garlic cloves, finely chopped

• Grated Parmesan cheese, to serve

PASTA
